It's 50 CE. Twenty-five years ago we recovered this empire from the usurpers and only recently have we reunified its wayward parts, most of them anyway. Now you have been brought on board to help Emperor Guang Wu finish the job, and make the Han empire the most glorious the world has yet seen.

Two-player mode
With this expansion you can at last move beyond solo mode and invite another player to a seat at the table.
Now the two greatest Asian dynasties of the period, the Han and the Kushan, can compete to see which can cover themselves in the most glory. One is tiny, but has great potential. The other is quite large, but has so many problems that need fixing. Who will triumph?
Corruption
This expansion introduces the concept of Corruption, in the form of cards that clog up the player's carefully constructed deck, cost them money and keep them from operating at peak efficiency. But if you're good, you can fight it. It won't be easy.

The Chinese emperor is even more difficult to manage. Even drafting a minister may require spending Influence.
